Don't Make CCSS Just Another Program
When CCSS was designed, I was under the assumption that teachers would be able to get back to what they do best ... teaching. Not just teaching to a test or from a scripted curriculum, but being able to be creative, innovative and cross-curricular. In the last few months I have been dismayed by the amount of CCSS "curriculum" I have seen. The market is full of CCSS "materials" and "curriculum". Teachers do not need another binder. They need the freedom to teach. Let's not turn CCSS into just another program.
